New Board Members
Dr. Ryan Lazar joined the Foundation Board of Directors in October 2009. Dr. Lazar is a mentor, coordinator and teacher in the Dearborn Public School system. He received his Doctorate of Education from Wayne State University and his Masters of the Arts from University of Michigan-Dearborn

Sonja Wilcox-Berriel joined the Foundation Board of Directors in November 2009. Ms Wilcox-Berriel is the current Chief Risk Officer for Oakwood Healthcare and is a certified professional in healthcare risk management and has obtained her juris doctor and her master of laws in intellectual property and alternative dispute resolution.

Joseph Walsh joined the Foundation Board of Directors in November 2009. Mr. Walsh retired as an attorney, as well as Captain in the Naval Reserve. He presently works part time for The Henry Ford as a Model T driver.

Thanks to Our Supporters
The Dearborn Library Foundation has been working several no cost events to enhance visibility and raise funds. In this regard the Foundation wants to thank everyone who participated in Dining to Donate on December 3rd at Applebee’s. The Foundation received over $175 as a result of this event. Thank you to our wonderful patrons for their support and to Applebee’s for offering us this opportunity.

Additionally, the Kroger’s Community Rewards program is going quite well and the Foundation has received its first quarterly payment of $115. Thank you to all who have signed up and to Kroger’s for partnering with the Foundation. If you haven’t signed up your Kroger Reward card to benefit the Dearborn Public Library Foundation, please consider signing up now. The program is scheduled to continue through at least April 2010.
